In the U.K., Primark and JD Sports’ Christmas campaigns were voted the ads that best represent Black people. A recent survey reveals that nearly nine in ten Black British people think Primark and JD Sports’ ads for the festive season authentically represent their ethnicity. According to the voters, Primark’s ad did a great job at showing a “whole dark-skinned black family,” while they appreciated JD Sports’ emphasis on diversity in British youth culture. Data from YPulse’s Representation in Action (Revisited) trend report shows two thirds of young Europeans think positively of a brand that features diverse models in an ad. (Marketing Beat)
