True fashion enthusiasts are now preferring long-form videos that share in-depth analysis and cultural criticism of different aspects of the industry more than casual watches like styling and haul videos. The tides are turning on content creators who shy away from publicly sharing opinions and “the modern influencer is waking up to the reality that to stand out from the archive-reposters, they need to add to something to the conversation…the most valuable addition to the space is the power of personal opinion,” a Fashion blogger told The Cut.
