The “great office debate” will continue through next year. Companies are trying to maximize their investment in both their employees and their office spaces, but they’re struggling to find balance. According to ThinkLab research, “78% of Gen Z feel they can work effectively without ever meeting in person.” At the same time, “88% of the primary ways they forge new professional connections involve face to face experiences.” This means it’s up to companies to create phygital experiences for their Gen Z employees to thrive at work. ThinkLab’s data also found that Gen Z feels most engaged with their organization when they have supportive coworkers (66%), a fun work environment (53%), and receive recognition (31%). YPulse’s recent Gen Z In Their Job Era trend report shows that Gen Z will “vibe check” a company before they even consider working for them. (Forbes)
