Ad Net Zero is requiring its supporters to follow their new sustainable regulations. The program is taking action to improve its sustainability efforts and is now calling for its partners to “commit to actionable, measurable climate goals.” The initiative’s global support team includes Amazon Ads, Indeed, and L’Oréal—all of whom need to set green targets within the next year. These partner companies have the option of joining the UN Race to Zero, The Climate Pledge, and more in order to reduce carbon emissions. Ad Net Zero’s chair explains that businesses in “the advertising supply chain must use their influence to accelerate the removal of emissions and the promotion of the net zero economy.” YPulse’s Sustainability report shows that over a third of Gen Z and Millennial consumers’ purchasing decisions are affected by climate change and the majority believe that corporations need to take more responsibility in fighting the issue.
