TikTok’s Creative Center just got a major upgrade with the addition of an artificial intelligence Ad Script Generator. The social media platform continues to implement AI technology to stay ahead of the technology’s boom—and the Script Generator is its newest addition to the app. Creators can promote ads without the hassle of coming up with the video concept themselves by inputting their industry vertical, product name and description, and preferred keywords to the AI model, which then spits out a curated script. The technology is even able to tailor how long the video is, and provides users with a series of hooks, scenes, and calls to action for their video ads. However, TikTok makes sure that creators are under no impression that they are liable for any information the Script Generator produces, saying that it’s not the platform’s responsibility to check that “content is accurate and complies with applicable laws and regulations.” YPulse’s AI Unpacked trend report data shows that so far, 15% of Gen Z and Millennials say they’ve used AI for writing a social media post.
