This small but mighty NYC fashion high school hosts an unconventional graduation ceremony every year.

This small but mighty NYC fashion high school hosts an unconventional graduation ceremony every year. At New York City’s High School of Fashion Industries, the senior class doesn’t celebrate their graduation with a traditional ceremony, but instead students showcase a senior fashion show. This school is a NYC trailblazer, being the only public trade school that specializes in fashion. YPulse research found that Gen Z is interested in crocheting / knitting / sewing—and it’s among their top favorite hobbies now. And, with many rethinking their desire to go to college, with more prioritizing work experience, secondary education opportunities to learn hands-on in their desired industry could become a more desirable path for Gen Z.
