TikTok is introducing Effect Creator Rewards, a $6M fund aimed at celebrating and rewarding creators of effects on the platform. Gen Z is always using the trendiest effects on their favorite social platform and now their creators can reap the benefits of going viral. To be eligible, creators must use TikTok’s in-house augmented reality platform, Effect House, and be based in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, or Spain. The fund will pay creators based on community engagement with their effects, with $700 USD awarded for every effect used in 500K videos within 90 days, and an additional $140 for every 100K videos published from then on within the same timeframe. Plus, TikTok announced the Creativity Program Beta, an improved version of its Creator Fund, offering higher average gross revenue for qualified video views and more insights through an updated dashboard. To qualify for the beta, creators must be based in the U.K., France, or U.S., have at least 10K followers, 100K views in the past 30 days, and post high-quality, original content longer than one minute.
