H&M is launching a Gen Z-focused skincare and beauty line. The new brand is called OHH! (Oh Hey Hero!) and features “10 everyday vegan essentials” curated specifically for Gen Z consumers. The name OHH! is inspired by “every young person’s potential to be their own hero,” and the overall messaging behind the line is to make young shoppers feel comfortable in their own skin without needing expensive products and the 20 step routines they are constantly exposed to on social media. The products include a moisturising stick with shea butter and sunflower oil, body lotion, deodorant, hand cream, a body scrub, body serum and wash, a five-blade razor, and a shaving gel with aloe vera. Each product has a unique and fun name geared toward teens like “‘Little Champ’ for the moisturising stick to prevent skin friction, ‘Clear Up Charlie’ for the clarifying body serum, and ‘Prom Clean’ for the citrus-infused body wash.” YPulse’s Personal Care & Beauty report data shows 28% of Gen Z say they are more likely to purchase a product that has a “vegan” label on it.
