Catering to both Millennial parents and their kids can be challenging. According to Technomic’s Generational Consumer Trend Report, Millennials prioritize having a kids menu when choosing a restaurant to visit with their children. YPulse’s Cooking & Diets report shows 45% of Millennial parents consider what their family / spouse / children want when deciding what to eat. Health and convenience are also super important factors to these parents, with nearly half of Millennials modifying their children’s meals to make them healthier and 43% saying they would visit restaurants more if they offered healthier options for kids. Clearly these health conscious parents are looking for menu items that go beyond chicken tenders and fries. Because of this, some parents bring their own food for their kids when they visit places—and more parents are looking for healthy, on-the-go snacks and meals that are easy to prep.
