Drag icon RuPaul just released a collab with Build-A-Bear Workshop. The collab “comes at a significant moment, as politicians and many conservatives seek to eliminate drag queens from the public eye and weaponize their presence in the name of transphobia” all under the guise of “protecting” children. But RuPaul is known for breaking barriers and the new collection features a plush bear with a “platinum blonde wig, bold make-up and a gold sequin gown, reminiscent of one of RuPaul’s most recognizable looks.” Available online only, the new bear is part of the brand’s Bearcave collection, which houses mature collaborations and featured other partnerships with Black Panther, Star Wars, and Ted Lasso.
