Some are worried ChatGPT will steal their jobs—but HR experts say it could be the hottest new skill. According to career site Resume Builder, ChatGPT is the latest in-demand job skill companies are hiring for. After assessing 1K bosses, the survey found that “90% of U.S. business leaders say having ChatGPT experience is a plus for jobseekers” when looking at job candidates. Nearly half of companies are already using the artificial intelligence tech in some capacity and some of the main reasons they’re using it is for “writing code, creating content, drafting summaries of meetings or internal documents and assisting with customer support.” ZipRecruiter has thousands of job listings that include ChatGPT in the description and while half are for technical AI engineering roles, the other half are for marketing, copywriting, and social media roles and can pay up to $335K salaries. YPulse predicted AI would become a norm for Gen Z this year, and in just four months, ChatGPT has taken over college campuses—which means the new workforce will already be well equipped with the tech.
