Pinterest is teaming up with Dotdash Meredith for more video content on the app. The two companies just announced a year-long partnership with the goal of bringing nearly 200 original videos to the platform based on “annual moments audiences care about” like weddings and holidays. This month, the partnership is kicking off with “‘Colorscapes,’ a must-see video series from Better Homes & Gardens capturing tablescapes inspired by seasonal color palettes to suit every life moment.” Pinterest is seeing engagement success with video content on the app and they feature over 1B videos a day. YPulse’s recent Social Media Behavior report data shows that Pinterest remains among the top 10 social platforms Gen Z uses and their main reasoning for visiting social media is for entertaining content.
