FaZe Clan is introducing its first female pro esports team. The lifestyle and media platform “rooted in gaming and youth culture” just signed its first all-female professional esports team that will compete in the Valorant league. Players include Jennifer “refinnej” Le, Emma “emy” Choe, Vannesa Emely “panini” Emory, Madison “maddiesuun” Mann, and Diane “di^” Tran. The team’s first competition will take place during the upcoming 2023 season of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers Series. Visibility in the space is important given YPulse’s Gaming Report found that 61% of young females agree with the statement “I am a gamer.” (VentureBeat)
