Sony’s new PlaySation 5 update includes a Discord integration. PS5 players are now able to “join Discord voice calls and use their voice to capture game clips.” The Discord add-on is good news for players who want to join their friends who have other consoles so PS5 players can chat with Xbox and PC gamers without having to rely on in-game chat features. The overall update is also improving its 1440p mode, which adds a smoother visual performance, as well as its voice command support, which allows U.S. and U.K. players to say, “Hey PlayStation, capture that” or “capture the last 5 minutes” to save their gameplay. YPulse research shows that PlayStation and PlayStation 5 are Gen Z and Millennials’ top gaming brands, followed by Xbox and Nintendo. (The Verge)
