TikTok is launching Sounds for Business to help marketers make more engaging content. Sounds and audios are arguably what drive the majority of TikTok trends. YPulse’s Music report found that social media is the top way young people discover new music, but brands have been running into copyright issues when using certain songs, so this is TikTok’s way of making audio more accessible—especially for small businesses who rely on the app for marketing. In partnership with Elias Audio Branding, “a subsidiary of Universal Production Music,” Sounds for Business involves a collection of sounds like “a mix of music, voice over and other sound cues” designed as templates for “easy marketing content creation.” Available in TikTok’s Commercial Music Library, the new collection of sounds (which are cleared for commercial use) can be used by businesses for both paid and unpaid content.
