The number of French Gen Z who are depressed has doubled in five years. A recent study revealed that one in five 18-24-year-old French people are displaying symptoms of depression, twice as many compared to five years ago. Clearly, the pandemic took a toll on Gen Z’s mental health, to the point that the French government decided to offer free therapy to all citizens ages three and above. YPulse’s recent Mental Health report data shows that 38% of French young consumers have felt mentally exhausted in the last year. (Le Monde)
