Grammy winner Samara Joy is Gen Z’s jazz icon. The 23-year-old singer brought home two Grammys this year for Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best New Artist. And although most have discovered (and fell in love with) her vocals through social media, Joy wants to be known for more than the amount of likes she has. Celebs discovered her through TikTok and Instagram, and a record contract and new album were quick to follow. Joy is conscious of the fact that she’s exposing and inspiring a new generation to jazz music and wants to continue to stay true to her dreams as an artist.
