Fashion brands are creating anime collections to stay relevant with young consumers.

Jun 02 2022

Fashion brands are creating anime collections to stay relevant with young consumers. YPulse has talked about how brands have been using anime in marketing and products to reach Gen Z and Millennials, and found a quarter of 16-34-year-olds are interested in fashion brands collaborating with anime studios for collections. Well, those collections just keep on coming: French fashion brand Maje recently released a limited collection with the classic anime characters in Sailor Moon and recently, Dolce & Gabbana announced its newest collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen, following the show’s movie debut. Although Dolce & Gabbana’s limited edition looks for Jujutsu Kaisen were not available online, the collection was featured in a pop-up store in Japan that “garnered quick attention and praise from fans on TikTok and Twitter.” (Glossy)
