NFTs are coming to Instagram. YPulse’s Buying Into Crypto and NFTs trend report found that 46% of Gen Z and Millennials who own an NFT have made it their profile photo on social media. Instagram recently announced that they are experimenting with a feature that would allow NFTs to be shown on the platform. A small group of users in the U.S. have begun testing NFTs on their feed, stories, and in messages. Similar to how tagged accounts and products appear on the platform, an NFT’s details will display the name of the creator and owner. According to Instagram head Adam Mosseri, supporting NFTs on the platform could “help introduce the technology to a broader range of people.” (TechCrunch)
