Netflix and JanSport are collaborating for a limited-edition collection of retro backpacks ahead of Stranger Things’ fourth season. Netflix is known for their unique partnerships with brands, and ahead of the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things this month, they teamed up with JanSport for a limited-edition collection. The line includes four backpacks and a waist pack with designs inspired by the show’s themes, characters, and 1986 setting. For instance, the brand’s logo is flipped on some of the bags to represent The Upside Down alternate dimension in the hit sci-fi series. When YPulse spoke with JanSport last year, the company told us about the ways they’re staying relevant with young consumers—and creating items based on one of their favorite TV shows is certainly another way to keep them engaged. JanSport’s Director of Marketing said in a statement: “The collaboration allows Gen Z consumers to immerse themselves into the Stranger Things universe in a way that aligns with JanSport’s values of embracing the spirit of adventure.” (JanSport)
