Heinz just launched a crunchy dipping sauce inspired by a viral TikTok food trend. We told you about the products born out of viral moments, and Heinz is the latest brand to launch a new item inspired by a popular food trend on TikTok. Users on the app have been going viral for sharing videos of themselves dunking sliders into sauces full of potato chips. To capitalize on the trend, Heinz recently introduced Dip & Crunch, a two-in-one package that includes one side for sauce and another side for potato chip crumbs (a.k.a “potato crunchers”), for consumers to dip their burgers in. According to Kraft Heinz’s chief growth officer: “As we innovate, we have to make sure we understand the difference between a trend and a fad. There are moments for both, and for us, the innovation around Dip & Crunch is part of a trend. It’s something people will want for some time, so we want to innovate with our brands like Heinz in those spaces.” (Fast Company, Thrillist)
