Gen Z and Millennials are fueling the mobile shopping boom. Not only are these gens fueling the growth of social commerce, they’re driving the rise of mobile shopping according to new research from Klarna. The company found that 79% of Gen Z and 77% of Millennials are mobile shopping more often now compared to two years ago. Klarna notes 82% of U.S. consumers use less than five mobile shopping apps each week, and over half would prefer an app that incorporates all of the features of the shopping apps they currently use. Consumers aren’t just purchasing products online via their phones; they’re using their mobile devices to compare prices, research products in-store, and more. YPulse’s shopping and retail research shows 43% of Gen Z and Millennials are regularly shopping via a mobile app. (WWD)
