Mar 16 2022

The number of youth-founded startups in South Korea is growing. YPulse’s What’s Next for Work trend research found that 64% of young people in the U.S. aspire to be an entrepreneur. Young Millennials and Gen Z in South Korea are also looking to entrepreneurship as they reassess their careers: According to a report from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the number of companies founded by someone under 30-years-old has jumped 57.5% in the past five years. South Korea’s young people are increasingly obtaining professional licenses, too. The number of people who registered for their first certified public accountant (CPA) exam has risen from 9,916 2018 to 15,413 in 2022, while the number of people who registered for the CTA license jumped from 10,438 in 2018 to 12,494 in 2021.
