Jones Soda is entering the cannabis economy with an infused drink line dubbed “Mary Jones.”

Mar 16 2022

Jones Soda is entering the cannabis economy with an infused drink line dubbed “Mary Jones.” Playing on the pot slang “Mary Jane,” Mary Jones will come in four flavors—berry lemonade, orange and cream, green apple, and root beer—infused with 10 milligrams of cannabis in 12-ounce bottles. A 100-milligram 16-ounce can and  1,000-milligram cannabis tincture marketed as syrup will also be sold, along with 5-milligram gummies shaped like Jones bottles (Mary Jones will be sold in select California dispensaries, with plans to expand to additional states in the coming months). The U.S. cannabis beverage industry is expected to become a $2 billion business by 2026 according to Reportlinker, and YPulse’s nightlife and drinking research shows 33% of 21+ consumers who drink alcohol are interested in cannabis-infused alcohol drinks.
