Young consumers have travel on their minds as they look forward to some wanderlust adventures this year.

Jan 24 2022

Young consumers have travel on their minds as they look forward to some wanderlust adventures this year. While 2021 was expected to be a big year for travel, COVID-19 variants and case surges put travel on hold for some young consumers. Now, Gen Z and Millennials have travel on their minds once again, and research from Expedia shows 81% of survey respondents plan to take at least one vacation with family / friends in the next six months, while 54% say they plan to spend more money on trips than they did before the pandemic. Using loyalty points is one way they’re funding their trips, with the data showing that Gen Z has conserved the most loyalty points to be put towards travel. Half of Gen Z and Millenials say they’re likely to travel internationally or already have an international trip booked. (TravelPulse)
