New TikTok research reveals why brands need to have a creator-first TikTok strategy.

New TikTok research reveals why brands need to have a creator-first TikTok strategy. YPulse recently told you what celebrities and influencers young consumers want brands to collaborate with, and spoiler: TikTok influencers are on the list. According to a recent study on the importance of TikTok creators, ads created in partnership with creators see higher ad recall and longer view rates compared to ads created for TikTok with no creator collaboration. Meanwhile, content that was not created specifically for TikTok (meaning it was repurposed from another platform) performed the worst in the study. Creator-led beauty content is “especially effective at promoting brand recognition,” and ads that show the product in use and fuse humor into the messaging “drive a significant uplift in watching the ad to the end.” TikTok has rapidly become Gen Z and Millennials’ favorite app, and they want brands to appeal to them by creating entertaining content, tapping the latest trends, and working with their favorite creators.
