Gen Z isn’t too focused on dating and relationships at the moment; they’re busy soul searching. YPulse’s Finding Love Post-COVID trend research found that over one-third of Gen Z say they are single and not looking to date (while 19% say they’re in a committed relationship). This generation is less inclined to look to relationships for fulfillment, and one researcher explains the pandemic has made them “hyper-focused on themselves” thanks to virtual / hybrid school and less hectic social lives forcing them to learn that they’re the only person responsible for their happiness. While our research shows marriage is one of their life goals, they’re in no rush to settle down as they embrace the process of figuring out who they are. (HYPEBAE)
