It’s time to start acting on climate change. According to a new report from Dentsu International and Microsoft Advertising, within one year, three in five people plan to boycott brands that don’t act on climate change. More than three in four say they want to be spending money only with brands that are practicing green / sustainable advertising within five years, and 91% of consumers want brands to outwardly show they’re environmentally friendly. Some brands are listening, including Corona, which recently kicked off the concept for Corona Island (the brand plans to make it the first fully Blue Verified Island by next year), while other brands are using augmented reality to turn products, packaging, and places, into digital discovery channels. YPulse’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) research shows climate change / environmental efforts is a cause Gen Z and Millennials want brands involved in. (Marketing Dive)
