Seek is an online platform giving consumers a real-life taste of the looks featured in their favorite TV shows and films.

Dec 07 2021

Seek is an online platform giving consumers a real-life taste of the looks featured in their favorite TV shows and films. Created by Sara Klausing, a former Vogue editor and Google alum, Seek provides “a dedicated space where people can have conversations about fashion and entertainment.” Traditionally, licensing deals have only offered a limited list of products inspired by popular TV shows and movies (like a movie’s soundtrack or generic t-shirts), and Seek is helping solve that problem by curating a library of actual items that make popular shows like Insecure and Bridgerton come to life. For example, Klausing notes that fans obsessed with Euphoria can buy the show’s vinyl on Seek, and a detailed list of fashion pieces from House of Gucci and Insecure will also be available when the platform launches early next year. Seek’s goal is to eventually collaborate directly with costume designers, makeup artists, and behind the scenes producers to curate shops based on trending shows and movies. YPulse told you how shows like Emily in Paris and The Queen’s Gambit caused a surge in searches for items featured in their shows (think red berets and chess sets), and Seek hopes to make it easier for fans to not just find products inspired by their favorite shows, but help them discover the exact pieces featured throughout.
