Taco Bell and Uber Eats helped consumers ease stressors (due to Mercury in Retrograde, of course) over the weekend by giving away nacho-shaped crystals.

Oct 12 2021

Taco Bell and Uber Eats helped consumers ease stressors (due to Mercury in Retrograde, of course) over the weekend by giving away nacho-shaped crystals. While Mercury is in retrograde for its final time this year (lasting from September 27 to October 18), Taco Bell and Uber Eats offered consumers a free order of “Mercury RetroGrande Nachos” with a $12 minimum Taco Bell order through the food delivery service from October 7-9, complete with a “Spencer Pratt-approved nacho-shaped amethyst crystal.” In proper Taco Bell fashion, the crystal looks as if it was dunked in nacho cheese, though the “cheese” is dripping gold, and the effect is…surprisingly stylish? Pratt (known for his own online crystal retailer, Pratt Daddy, along with his role on the reality TV series The Hills) teamed up with the fast food joint and Uber Eats on the venture “to bring together [his] two favorite things, Crystals and Nachos.” YPulse’s religion and spirituality research found that the percentage of young people who say mystical healing and supernatural powers can influence health has increased by 19pts compared to 2017, and brands are continuing to create products to respond to young consumers’ mainstreaming of the trend.
