Nickelodeon and CBS Sports are going after young football fans with a weekly series starring NFL players. Following their success with the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon, Nick, CBS Sports, and NFL are launching more sports content aimed at young consumers with NFL Slimetime—a 23-episode series featuring highlights, game footage, youth football spotlights, Nickelodeon star appearances, interviews with NFL players, and comedy segments from football games. Teen sports correspondent Dylan Schefter, CBS Sports analyst Nate Burleson, Young Dylan, and Lincoln Loud from Nick’s The Loud House are set to host the show that’s set to air before NFL games in the U.S. on Nickelodeon (and Paramount+ one day later). YPulse research shows that 39% of 13-39-year-olds say they follow football, and unique programming tied to the NFL (a.k.a. Gen Z and Millennials’ second-favorite sports league) could help engage new and existing fans. (Kidscreen)
