Snickers is promoting this year’s NFL season by asking fans to share their #RookieMistakes. Putting a playful spin on sports marketing, Snickers is asking football fans to reminisce about their “rookie mistakes” for the chance to earn a shoutout from current NFL players and the Mars Wrigley-owned brand. Starting today (September 9), fans can submit photos, videos, and/or written accounts of their sports fumbles on snickersrookiemistakes.com, and one winner will score two tickets to the Super Bowl LVI in L.A. plus a “SNICKERS Rookie Mistake of the Year” award as judged by a panel of NFL players. Other noteworthy submissions will have the opportunity to win NFL-themed prizes. The NFL is Gen Z and Millennials’ second-favorite sports league, and brands are making a play for those fans as football season gears up. (Marketing Dive)
