At-home workout equipment is getting a stylish makeover. YPulse’s Fitness research shows that 42% of young consumers say they will continue working out at home after the pandemic, and as the trend for working out at-home continues, brands are creating gear that doubles as home decor on the off days. Equipt offers a Ubarre weight (an elegant, U-shaped tool) that comes in “alpine” white and “burnt brass” and can be used as a dumbbell, yoga block, Pilates ring, or a sculpture; Addition Studio is selling chic “marble” dumbbells made of travertine that mimic Greek columns and statues; and Lululemon’s new gym roller is equally stylish as it practical as it can be propped vertically and stand on its own. The home fitness industry is expected to grow from $11 billion in 2021 to $15 billion by 2028 according to a Fortune Business Insights™ report, and as consumers find new ways to make their spaces as homey as possible, it makes sense for them to want the same from their workout gear.
