#AerieREALVoices is championing body positivity with TikTok stars and a wheelchair dance team as the campaign’s models. Aerie’s latest body positivity effort includes TikTok creators the NaeNaeTwins, wheelchair dance team the Rollettes, Kelsea Ballerini, actress Antonia Gentry, and Aly Raisman (the former Olympic gymnast who has partnered with Aerie since 2018). The brand is also encouraging consumers to get involved in its new campaign by submitting their own videos about what makes them #AerieREAL for a chance to be featured in future efforts. Aerie has played a pivotal role in the body positivity movement from the very start with their first #AerieREAL campaign in 2014, and CEO and Founder of A Line Partners Gabriella Santaniello says, “They were the first out there with real life models.” YPulse’s advertising and marketing research shows that 70% of Gen Z and 69% of Millennials say they like when content from brands is not perfect, and they see Photoshopping models as a negative.
