TikTok just made it easier for brands to leverage trending content from creators. The social media platform is launching Spark Ads, a native ad format letting advertisers use organic posts from TikTok creators in their ad campaigns. Essentially, Spark Ads takes out the middleman by allowing brands to directly sponsor published posts from creators, as long as permission is granted from the user. The new format is available via TikTok’s Ads Manager, which also lets marketers upload content created by an influencer (once it’s approved by the creator) to organically post on their own TikTok page. YPulse’s celebrities and influencers data shows that 74% of young consumers want to see sponsored content from influencers, and TikTok’s Spark Ads expansion is making it easier for brands to tap into the content influencers are already creating for the platform.
