Cameo is making it easy for brands to partner with celebrities.

Jul 20 2021

Cameo is making it easy for brands to partner with celebrities. Last year, YPulse called Cameo a platform for brands to watch, and now the platform is becoming a go-to for marketers. Chicago-based Portillo’s and Infiniti are the latest to team up with the platform’s new Cameo for Business program, which makes it easy to develop contracts with stars for advertisements via its growing roster of B-List talent. In May, Portillo’s tapped celebrities on Cameo including Brian Baumgartner and Kate Flannery from The Office for 20 custom videos promoting its chicken sandwich (to strengthen its stake in the chicken sandwich wars, of course), and now Infiniti Americas is using the platform to work with Gabby Douglas, Erin Andrews, Dule Hill, and more stars to create personalized videos answering customers’ questions about the auto maker’s new 2022 QX60 crossover vehicle. Celebrities can set their own rates for promotional and personal video messages on Cameo, and the svp of marketing for Portillo’s notes that organic views from the brand’s celebrity Cameo videos were double that of their typical videos. Facebook and TikTok also recently announced plans to start developing Cameo-like products. (AdAgeMarketing Dive)
