DoorDash is tapping the Twitch community for its first-ever green screen spot aimed at young consumers. Twitch streamer Anthony_Kongphan is the face of DoorDash’s new animated spot, transporting viewers to a whimsical universe filled with several nods to some of Gen Z and Millennials’ pop culture icons (think MarioRick and Morty, and Futurama). Anthony often talks about his love of DoorDash on his channel, so it made sense for the two brands to partner with him. Everything from the visuals to what foods were covered in the spot were influenced by places Anthony has ordered from and what food he enjoys most. YPulse told you how brands are collaborating with Twitch to reach young consumers where they’re at (a.k.a. gaming), and DoorDash’s move shows how brands can authentically partner with the Twitch community.
