| Gen Z and Millennials want to work for companies that share their values for social justice. According to research conducted for the HeForShe gender-equality movement, only 19% of 18-26-year-olds would join a company that doesn’t share their personal values. Racism, LGBTQ discrimination, and gender equality/sexism are among the top 5 causes Gen Z is passionate about according to YPulse’s research, and two-thirds of the HeForShe survey respondents say company values are more important than the company’s leadership. YPulse’s employee and career goals research found that 58% of BIPOC consumers say working for an organization where their voice can be heard is very important to them when thinking about their future and career, and companies have a vital opportunity to show up for the causes young people care about if they want to garner support from young, diverse employees.
