Fast food chains like Starbucks and Burger King are testing reusable packaging—something young consumers say they’re interested in.

Fast food chains like Starbucks and Burger King are testing reusable packaging—something young consumers say they’re interested in. YPulse’s recent Sustainability behavioral report found that 47% of Millennials and 57% of Gen Z say brands should be creating more eco-friendly products. QSR brands in particular have a lot to combat when it comes to addressing food packaging waste, and Starbucks, Burger King, and Popeyes are introducing pilot programs to implement reusable packaging and limit single-use containers. According to research conducted by a Harris Poll survey, Gen Z and Millenials visit QSRs the most and 77% are willing to try reusable options from fast food brands, compared to 55% of consumers overall. Young consumers want brands to know they care about climate change, and they’re watching how the food industry continues to address pollution and waste.
