| More than half of young consumers have talked about life insurance during COVID. According to a ValvePenguin survey, 55% of consumers have talked with a loved one about life insurance during the pandemic, with Gen Z and Millennials more likely to have these conversations. Thirteen percent of consumers researched life insurance options for the first time, while 10% purchased a life insurance policy for the first time. Twenty-four percent of Gen Z purchased their first life insurance policy, while 17% of Millennials did. However, 28% of respondents avoid thinking about life insurance because they think it’s too depressing.
