Young consumers are snacking a lot during the pandemic. YPulse’s Comfort in the Kitchen trend report found that snacking has gotten a massive boost in lockdowns with 46% of 13-39-year-olds eating a nighttime snack during a typical weekday, and many young consumers skipping full meals to snack instead. Now, a Coca-Cola report shows that 73% of Gen Z and Millennials admit they’ve snacked more during the pandemic compared to 54% of Gen X and 48% of Boomers. In the West, Southwest, and Northeast regions, respondents cited foods like pizza and wings as a snack, while potato chips were the top snack in the Midwest, and those in the Southeast chose French fries as their most craved snack.
