Netflix is ramping up their family-friendly content to fend off Disney+ and other competitors. We told you how streaming services are investing more in kid content and Netflix has been seeing successes with releases like puppet-focused cooking show Waffles + Mochi as well as their movie Yes Day, which has remained in Netflix’s Top 10 watch list since it premiered last week. Meanwhile their animated musical Over the Moon scored an Oscar nomination, and next up they’ll be heavily marketing their animated movie The Mitchells vs. The Machines coming out next month with Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and Danny McBride among the voices. According to Netflix, about 60% of all of their subscribers watch some kids and family content every month, and YPulse’s media consumption report shows that 80% of Millennial parents are using Netflix to watch video content weekly or more, while 84% say their kids watch Netflix daily or weekly.
