Older Millennials are the most likely group to use “Buy Now, Pay Later” options. According to research from PYMNTS, Millennials are still “as likely as other generations” to have credit cards with nearly nine out of 10 having at least one card. But while credit is an essential part of their shopping lives, they’re exploring more flexible options which include “Buy Now, Pay Later” services. Recently, brands have been ramping their BNPL programs for young shoppers—and for a good reason. Most 32-41-year-olds lead the early adoption of BNLP with 11.5% reporting that they have used it. They have also increased their usage of installment payments—a 28% rise since March, more than any other generation since the onset of the pandemic. (PYMNTS)
