Gen Z is shopping secondhand marketplaces more than other generations. According to ThredUp, online resale is expected to grow by 23% this year and predicted to overtake the traditional thrift and donating segment by 2024. The site reports that shoppers under 24-years-old are more likely to shop secondhand fashion than any other group, with 40% buying secondhand apparel in 2019. Gen Z and Millennial shoppers still care about climate change and shopping sustainably makes them feel good—and is good for their budgets. (Adweek)
