Thanks to young employees, workplaces are implementing more wellness perks. According to a Deloitte study, 70% of workers don’t think their employers are doing enough to prevent or reduce burnout in the workplace, while 21% don’t think their organizations offer any programs to assist in minimizing burnout. Now, thanks to “a younger, more open-minded workforce,” human resource departments are ramping up their wellness initiatives by adding meditation, yoga, sound baths, energy consulting, hypnotherapy, and other amenities. YPulse found that 81% of 13-to-36-year-olds believe that focusing on health and wellness helps them feel in control of something tangible. (NYTimes)
