Twitter is debuting disappearing tweets to compete with Snapchat and Instagram Stories. “Fleets” are the 24-hour tweets that the social network is currently testing in Brazil,  following belatedly in the footsteps of Snapchat and Instagram’s disappearing story format, which YPulse’s social media survey shows is the top social features Gen Z and Millennials use. The same survey shows that Twitter use among young consumers has fallen far behind Instagram—and they’re clearly trying to find ways to appeal to these Stories-loving potential users.
