Walmart is building a program to compete with Amazon Prime. The retailer will soon be testing Walmart+, a membership program that rebrands their already existing Delivery Unlimited service, which offers unlimited same-day grocery delivery for $98 a year. But Walmart+ will likely add perks like texting to place orders, discounts on prescriptions and gas, and a Scan & Go service. The majority of Millennials currently use Amazon Prime, and more brands are stepping up their game to compete with the service that has “devastated traditional retail.” (Vox, Adweek)
