Slime, surprises, TV and movie characters, and tech are just some of the popular toy trends this holiday. Frozen II, Star Wars, and Marvel merch, along with Baby Shark and Fortnite toys, will be big sellers this season, with 20 to 30% of all toy sales directly related to movie and TV characters. Other hot toy aisle items take on trends we’ve had our eye on for a while, including surprise dolls (especially L.O.L Surprise), anything slimey or gooey, STEAM toys, and classic board games. (CNBC)
