Teens are turning into film critics on TikTok. While the app has generally been used by young people as a performative entertainment platform full of viral content, many are also posting homages, parodies, and even commentary and reviews of their favorite films. Thanks to the availability of film soundtracks on the app, reenacting scenes from popular movies is made easy. While the content isn’t always serious or critical, it creates a space for young aspiring film critics and filmmakers to thrive. (NYT)
