YouTube has launched a new way for creators to make money. The platform’s Super Chat, launched in 2016, allows fans of YouTubers to pay for their comments to be highlighted and pushed to the top of feeds—and earns creators extra income. Now, users can also buy Super Stickers, reaction images sold in packs costing up to $50, to engage their favorite channels even more. YouTube is introducing more monetization opportunities for its creators (some inspired by Twitch’s partner offerings) and reports that “’thousands’ of channels have more than doubled their revenues” thanks to these features.
